Today, the Palestinian Prisoners Club warned of the serious deterioration in the health status of the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, as a result of the policy of deliberate medical negligence in the Israeli occupation prisons.
The club stated that the prisoner Abu Hamid is now battling a malignant disease with an exhausted body, after his health condition entered a dangerous curve and worsened rapidly, and today he suffered a sharp rise in temperature and a drop in his heartbeat.
The club pointed out that cancer has spread throughout Abu Hamid’s body, which caused complete damage to the left lung, and thus it lost the ability to carry out its normal functions, and he has recently been suffering from dangerous fluids exiting both of his lungs, and almost completely losing movement in his limbs.
Prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid brother’sMuhammad confirmed that the tumor on the left side of his brother’s body, specifically in the chest area, is prominent and clear, pointing out that his brother has entered a critical stage of the disease.
A few days ago, the family of the prisoner Abu Hamid appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to pressure the Israeli occupation to transfer him to a hospital in the West Bank, in light of the serious deterioration of his health.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Abu Hamid, 49, is from Al-Amari camp in Ramallah, and he has been detained since 2002.
