A demonstration in Austria rejecting sanctions against Russia

On December 10th, hundreds of Austrians organized a protest demonstration in the capital, Vienna, calling on the authorities to reconsider the sanctions imposed against Russia, and to maintain the country’s complete neutrality.

The goal is to make the people’s voice heard for Parliament and the government in Austria,” the organizers of the demonstration were quoted by Novosti Agency as saying

The protesters called on the government to make immediate efforts to organize peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in order to end the crisis, and lift the sanctions imposed on Moscow, which caused stifling crises for European countries.

The protesters raised the Austrian and Russian flags and banners saying: “Instead of sanctions, we want electricity, fuel and cheap goods.

European countries are witnessing economic crises due to the sanctions imposed on Russia following its special military operation to protect Donbass.
