Iran:  US sanctions are illegal

Hague (ST): Iran confirmed that the sanctions imposed by the United States of America and some other countries on Tehran are illegal.

Iran’s representative at the meeting of the 21st session of the Forum of Member States of the International Criminal Court in The Hague Nasir Asaiyipour denounced the sanctions imposed by America, which hindered the Organization’s investigation into the crimes committed by Washington, indicating that the aim of these sanctions is to intimidate the court and prevent further investigations regarding crimes committed by Americans to impose hegemonic policies, especially against the Iranian people.

Asaiyipour called on the Criminal Court to comprehensively study the Palestinian and Afghan issues and bring all criminals to justice.

Earlier, and after the investigations conducted on the situation in Palestine and Afghanistan, the Office of the Prosecutor confirmed to the court that the Israeli occupation forces inside the occupied territories and the US military and security forces in Afghanistan had committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.
