Maduro: Venezuela stands by Syria and is ready to provide it with full assistance

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro affirmed that his country and Syria are under the same terrorist attack and that Venezuela stands by and supports Syria, expressing his confidence that Syria will achieve its complete victory.

This came when President Maduro accepted the credentials of Kinan Zahreddine as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Syria to Venezuela. Maduro asked the new Ambassador to convey his greetings to President Bashar al-Assad.

During the meeting, which took place yesterday evening, Maduro stressed his country’s readiness to provide full assistance to Syria in the various economic fields and vital sectors, as he directed the Vice President for Economic Affairs and Minister of Oil, Tariq El Aissami, to start taking necessary measures to activate the bilateral agreements signed, to form a Syrian-Venezuelan business council, and exchange local products between both sides.

In turn, Ambassador Zahreddine conveyed the greetings of President al-Assad to President Maduro and the friendly Venezuelan people, appreciating the Venezuelan political position in support of the Syrian issues in all international forums.
