Daraa (ST) – 9479 people benefited from the campaign launched by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa governorate, on protection from war remnants and unexploded mines, in Dael city in the governorate countryside.
The head of the Red Crescent, Dr. Ahmad Al-Masalmeh, said in a statement to SANA today that the campaign lasted for four months and various social segments benefited from it, including children, women, farmers, students, and others.
He indicated that the Red Crescent volunteers, through the campaign, delivered awareness messages and instructions to the people and answered questions about unexploded ordnance, its types, where it may be located, its indications, and safe and correct behaviors when observed.
Al-Masalmeh explained that the campaign included home visits to families and sessions for students in the city’s school, with the support of the international committee of the Red Cross.
