Prague (ST): Former Czech Foreign Minister Tserel Svoboda confirmed that the United States is achieving many benefits from the crisis in Ukraine, even at the expense of its European allies.
In an interview with Parliamentary Papers website, Svobodwa said that in addition to the massive US arms sales to Europe, it sells gas to Europe at a price four times higher than the price of gas sold in the United States.
He pointed out that fears are growing among Europeans about the possibility of migration of heavy industries from Europe to the United States due to the rise in energy prices, and for this reason, public criticism is increasing from high levels in European countries to the American policy.
Svobodwa criticized the language of preconditions adopted by the Ukrainian leadership before starting peace talks with Russia, warning that this language would not help in reaching a solution to the crisis.
