Iranian Ministry of Interior: The riots caused damage worth 17 trillion riyals

On December 4th, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Interior for Security and Police, Majeed Mir Ahmadi, announced that recent riots have caused severe material damage in the country.

IRNA news agency quoted Mir Ahmadi as saying:“The damage caused by rioters in the country during the past two months is estimated at 17 trillion Iranian riyals.”

Mir Ahmadi added that this amount of damage includes the damage to places, government facilities, public property, as well as the property of citizens.

The Iranian National Security Council of the Ministry of Interior announced yesterday that the number of victims of recent riots in the country reached 200, including martyrs of security forces and civil martyrs.
