Baqri and Fomene: The Russian -Iranian cooperation achieves peace, stability and security in the region

On December 3rd, the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqri met the Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Alexander Fomene in Tehran.

Baqri said that the development of bilateral, regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Moscow helps achieve peace, stability and security in the entire region.

Baqri praised the joint experience of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in combating terrorism in Syria and stressed the need to provide support for Syria.

Baqri pointed out that dealing with joint threats requires more consultations and developing cooperation between the two countries to create a new global system far from the approach of the American unilateralism.

In turn, Fomene affirmed the active role of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in achieving security and stability and eliminating terrorism in the region.

Fomene arrived in Tehran, accompanied by a military delegation to participate in the fourth meeting of the Joint Committee for Military Cooperation between the two countries.
