China: The United States is plundering Syria’s wealth and violating international rules and laws

Beijing (ST): China has reaffirmed that the United States continues to plunder Syrian wealth and deploy occupation forces on its territory in violation of international rules and laws that it claims to seek to protect.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said during a press conference today that Washington’s illegal military bases on Syrian territory are nothing but a pretext and a cover to serve the interests of American hegemony, indicating that the international community is not unaware of what the Americans are doing.

Lijian pointed out that the Americans’ theft and smuggling of Syrian oil cost the Syrian state huge losses exceeding $100 billion.

The spokesman added: The United States has a long record of spreading disinformation, such as the bottle that contained white powder and the theatrical videos of the White Helmets, which it used to justify launching attacks on Iraq and Syria earlier.
