An explosion targets two cars of the Italian Embassy in Greece

Athens (ST): The Greek police announced today that two cars belonging to the Italian Embassy in Athens were targeted with two explosive devices, one of which exploded without causing any injuries.

France Press Agency quoted the police as saying: “A homemade explosive device detonated and destroyed one of the two cars that were parked in a parking lot at the residence of the first adviser to the embassy on the outskirts of Athens, while the other device that was planted near the second diplomatic vehicle did not explode.”

In turn, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni considered that the source of the attack was “probably chaotic”, expressing her deep concern over its occurrence.
