Main points on Astana presented by Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Ayman Soussan

The Astana platform is the only framework that was able to achieve some progress as its goal is to consolidate stability in Syria-ofcourse Astana could have achieved more had Turkey respected the agreed on decisions.

Our problem in Syria is the lack of a national opposition.

As a country, we are open to dialogue with all Syrians to address any problem or issue, but sadly the opposition has no influence on the ground as it has borrowed robes from several countries ,each with a different agenda.

As for the SDF militia their problem is their lack of national affiliation as their proposals negatively affect the unity of the country and the people.

We want the Kurds to feel that they belong to Syria.

Turkey is responsible for great evil that has come to Syria.

Ensuring border security is through cooperation, not unilateral actions.

As long as there is interference in Syrian internal affairs, Turkish statements remain hollow and the Turkish side did not carry out its obligations related to terrorist organizations.

The countries that sent their terrorists to Syria should take them back and Idlib will return to the Syrian homeland sooner or later.

Sanctions against Syria are illegal.

The theft of Syrian oil by the American occupation amounts to gangster tactics.

The aim of the illegal American presence is to impede the consolidation of stability in Syria.

Sooner or later the American forces will withdraw from Syria and the occupation will end.
