On the anniversary of when Alexandretta was stripped  the Syrians are committed to restoring their usurped right

The issue of the Iskenderun District and the inevitability of its retrieval did not turn into a forgotten past as long as the Syrians cling to their insistence on regaining their rights, and retrieving every inch of the soil of their land, no matter how long the years and decades have passed since its plundering. Despite the passage of 83 years since the crime of flaying and usurping the district, the struggle will not stop to recover it and return it to the motherland.

The heinous crime that was carried out under a tripartite agreement between Turkey and the French as well as the British occupiers at that time coincided with the attempts of the parties involved in it to consolidate their occupation policy, through illegal practices such as the Turkification of the district and its villages, which extend over an area of 4,800 square kilometers, and are inhabited by more than 1 million people, most of whom are Syrian Arabs..

The Alexandretta district, also known as Scanderoon, was robbed and its wealth was plundered in 1939 after falsifying the facts, according to the aforementioned tripartite agreement. The conspiracy continues by the Turkish regime, and its attempts to redraw the same scenario, through attacks on Syrian territory and support for terrorists in Northern Syria for years.

After Alexanderetta was plundered, the Syrians were subjected to harassing campaigns by the successive Turkish regimes that lasted for decades, and caused the displacement of many of them, in parallel with the transfer of thousands of Turks by the Turkish occupier and their settlement in the brigade, with the aim of changing its Arab-Syrian identity, starting with changing the names of the villages and their demographic character, etc. of the Turkification attempts.

Turkish has repeated its  attacks for more than 11 years, the Syrians are increasingly insistent on their right to recover what was stolen from their lands, including the Iskenderun district. This right will not be forfeited by the passage of time.
