Lukashenko: The Palestinian Issue Must be resolved within the Framework of International Law

Minsk (ST) – Belarusian President, Aleksandr Lukashenko, stressed the need to find a solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance to the rules of the international law.

Sputnik quoted Lukashenko, in a message he addressed to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, as saying: “My country, as one of the founding countries of the United Union, is interested in resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance to the rules of the international law and the resolutions of the UN General Assembly, in order to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.”

Lukashenko pointed out that, during the last years, Minsk has improved  bilateral relations with the Palestinian authority in a spirit of mutual trust and respect, stressing the importance of  political dialogue   and cooperation in different fields.
