Russian security thwarts a Ukrainian terrorist plot targeting the South Stream gas pipeline

On November 24^th, the Russian Federal Security Service thwarted a terrorist plot by the Ukrainian intelligence that was to target the “Southern Stream” gas pipeline passing through Turkey, and arrested a group of those involved in preparing it.

The Federal Security Service said in a statement: “Those involved in the preparation and support with resources for this terrorist act were detained.Four magnetic mines, 593 thousand rubles, and means of communication containing correspondence and negotiations with a guide from Ukrainian intelligence and instructions for assembly and installation were confiscated, as well as information about the money transfer and the coordinates of the explosion site in the Volgograd region.”
