Iraqi Deputy Speaker holds talks with Syria’s Ambassador over bilateral relations

BAGHDAD, Nov.22, (ST)- Today, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakha Wan Abdullah Ahmad, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Sattam Jad’an Al-Dandah, ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the importance of activating the work of the parliamentary friendship committees between the two sides.

According to a statement released by the Iraqi parliament, Ahmad stressed during the meeting that the stability of Syria represents a basic pillar that in turn ensures stability in the region, and that this stage requires joint steps and cooperation to consolidate security and prosperity and ensure a better future for our peoples.
