Two stands in the cities of Al-Bireh and Tulkarm in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation detention centers
Hundreds of Palestinians participated today in two vigils in the cities of Al-Bireh and Tulkarem in the West Bank, in support of the prisoners in the Israeli occupation detention centers.
WAFA Agency stated that the participants in the two vigils called for by the Palestinian national forces in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Al-Bireh and Tulkarem, carried pictures of the child prisoners, the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, and a number of sick prisoners, calling on the international community to intervene to save their lives and take practical measures that oblige the occupation to release them. The participants called for the application of international laws and the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War.
Since the beginning of the current year, the occupation forces have arrested 770 children, including sick and wounded, who were shot before or during their arrest.
The occupation is still detaining about 160 children in “Damon”, “Megiddo” and “Ofer” prisons.
