Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Double international standards encourage the occupation to deepen settlement

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that international double standards pose a severe blow to international law, and encourage the Israeli occupation to deepen settlements and suffocate Palestinian towns.

The Ministry said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that this duality provides a cover for the occupation’s violations and crimes that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, and also provides protection for the perpetrators and allows Israel’s continued impunity as an occupying power.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the escalation of violations and crimes by the occupation forces and settlers, indicating that they come in light of the occupation expanding settlement operations to dismember the Palestinian state, especially the continued construction of tunnels and huge settlement roads to link the occupied city of Jerusalem with the settlements besieging it and the settlements established in the territories occupied in 1948, which leads to undermining any opportunity to establish the Palestinian state on the line of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
