The Iranian Foreign Ministry announces measures in response to the decision of the IAEA Board of Governors
Tehran (ST): The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today a series of measures in response to the decision of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors against it.
IRNA quoted the ministry’s spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, as saying: “In a first step, several measures were put on the agenda of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, and they were implemented today, in the presence of IAEA inspectors at the Natanz and Fordow enrichment complexes.”
Kanaani added: “The decision was included on the agenda of America, the three European countries, Germany, France and Britain, for political goals in order to pressure Iran,” noting that Iran had warned Western parties of the consequences of this illogical and destructive act, expressing his regret for the use of international organizations as a tool against independent peoples.
Kanaani stressed that Iran will never give in to pressure and will continue its peaceful nuclear program in accordance with the country’s needs and in accordance with its rights and obligations under international law.
