Leaders of Syrian tribes and clans in Hasakah reaffirm their rejection of occupation, separatist agendas
The Council of Syrian tribes’ leaders and dignitaries in Hasaka has reiterated its rejection of the illegal presence of American and Turkish troops on the Syrian land.
In a statement following its meeting in Qamishli city on Friday, the Council said that “the American presence in Syria is illegal and it aims at controlling the country’s resources and depriving the Syrian people of their national wealth. It also aims at serving the Israeli enemy’s interests, undermining peace and creating discord”.
It said that it is against any forum that is not held under the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic and that doesn’t aim at confronting the American and Turkish occupiers by all means, including military confrontation through popular resistance.
“Anyone who attends such American-sponsored forums is a traitor and a contributor to the US-Zionist scheme which supports the separatist plan in the Syrian Al-Jazira region,” the council clarified.
It called on members of the tribes and clans to unite and support the Syrian Arab Army’s efforts to confront the aggressive schemes of the American and Turkish occupiers that seek to achieve the goals and interests of world Zionism.
