Russian Foreign Ministry: grain agreement extended for a period of 120 days

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced today the extension of the grain agreement automatically for a period of 120 days, noting that it had not received any objections to it.

A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, reported by Sputnik, stated: “The food deal that was agreed upon last July between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations ends on November 18, and the deal document provides for its automatic extension for another 120 days in the event that there are no objections from anyone.” The parties noted that no such objections had been received.

In its statement, the Ministry stressed the comprehensive nature of the package of agreements on Ukrainian food and the effective implementation of the memorandum on the normalization of Russian agricultural exports, stressing that it should be absolutely clear that any attempt to use the humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea for provocative military purposes will be firmly intercepted.
