President Al-Assad receives a message from Sultan of Oman regarding bilateral relations between the two countries

Damascus, (ST) – President Bashar Al-Assad on Wednesday received the Foreign Minister of Oman Badr Bin Hamad Albusaidi and the accompanying delegation.

The Omani minister handed President Al-Assad a message from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq regarding bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

President Al-Assad discussed with the guest minister the growing bilateral cooperation between Syria and Oman in many fields. They also discussed developments on the regional and international arenas.

President Al-Assad stressed that frank dialogue at the Arab level is a necessity required to serve the issues of the region and confront the challenges faced by its people.

President Al-Assad considered that what distinguishes the Sultanate of Oman is the principle and balance of its policies, and the clarity and transparency of its positions.

Minister Al-Busaidi affirmed that Syria is a pivotal country in the region and Oman is keen to continue consultation and coordination with it on the situation in the region and issues of common interest. He said that his country attaches special importance on developing Omani-Syrian cooperation at the governmental and popular levels in all sectors that achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and return benefit to them.
