A martyrs’ memorial inaugurated in Homs marking the Anniversary of the Correctionist Movement

Marking the 52^nd Anniversary of the Correctionist Movement, Homs governorate in cooperation with the local community on Wednesday inaugurated a martyrs’ memorial at the Rawdet Shuhadaa Al-Fardous Park in Al-Zahraa neighborhood. The inauguration ceremony was attended by official and public figures as well as a number of men of religion.

Homs Governor Numeir Makhlouf and Secretary of the Homs Baath Arab Socialist Party branch Omar Houriya laid a wreath on the memorial.

Head of the Martyrs’ Affairs Office in Homs Bassam Mahfoud said in a statement that the inauguration of this memorial aims at honoring the souls of Syria’s martyrs and at thanking the citizens in Homs for the sacrifices they offered in defense of the homeland.

Other statements hailed the great role of martyrs in protecting the dignity and independence of the homeland.
