Tourist groups from Lebanon and Slovenia visit the landmarks of Bosra al-Sham

Two tourist groups from Lebanon and Slovenia, consisting of 25 tourists, visited the ancient city of Bosra, notably the Roman Theatre and the Castle, and were briefed on the importance and historical and civilizational status of these monuments.

During their visit, tourists expressed their admiration for the beauty and ancient civilization they witnessed there, which will prompt them to return to see more of these deep-rooted landmarks.

Tourist guide Ziad Khairallah explained that this is the second visit in two months for Lebanese tourists to the Syrian south, which is rich with archaeological areas, religious and historical monuments.

In a statement to SANA, the Director of the Tourist Information Center in Bosra al-Sham, Mohammed al-Mekdad said that the archaeological city is frequently visited and services are provided to tourists through the Department of Archaeology, the City Council and the Tourist Information Centre, stressing that Bosra is rich with archaeological sites and tourist components, which is why the stakeholders are working to restore its elegance of tourism.

It is noteworthy that Bosra al-Sham has 45 archaeological sites within and outside the Old City.
