Russian expert in the field of industry and energy Leonid Khazanov revealed that the European industry was affected by the possibility of imposing a ban on the supply of copper, nickel and other metals from Russia.
Sputnik news agency quoted the expert as saying: The imposition of a ban on metal supplies from Russia will primarily lead to a shortage of nickel and copper in the European market, as this shortage will automatically result in the closure of many factories in Europe, most notably metal and cable factories, up to engine and automobile factories.
Khazanov considered that the largest European copper producers, such as the manufacturer of Airbus planes, will not be able to replace the required quantities due to the high prices of electricity and gas, while the situation will be worse for nickel, as there are no companies that produce it in Europe.
