Chairman of Alma town council in Daraa eastern countryside Nabil Qasem Al-Hariri was martyred on Saturday after gunmen shot him dead in front of the town’s bakery, a source at Daraa Police Command told a SANA reporter.
Al-Hariri was transferred to Daraa Hospital, but he had died before the ambulance arrived, the source said.
Director of Daraa Hospital Yahya Kiwan stated that the martyr was killed by a bullet in the head and he was dead when he arrived at the hospital.
