Moscow (ST): Russian President Vladimir Putin affirms his country’s readiness to provide agricultural products and fertilizers to Africa.
During a telephone conversation with his Central African counterpart Faustin-Archange Touadera today, the Kremlin said in a statement, according to Russia Today website, that the two presidents agreed during the conversation to continue cooperation, “in order to strengthen independence, security and stability.”
For his part, Touadera confirmed, according to the statement, his intention to participate in the second Russian-African summit, to be held in the summer of 2023 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Moscow had said earlier that the United States and Europe are punishing African, Asian and Latin American countries by preventing Russian agricultural products and fertilizers from reaching world markets.
