Qatana and Groshkov discuss ways to develop agricultural cooperation between Syria and Russia

The Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Muhammad Hassan Qatana, discussed during his meeting today with the representative of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture in Syria Roman Groshkov aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop it.

The two sides discussed the mechanisms for activating the agreements signed with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, especially in the areas of establishing a laboratory to analyze exported Syrian agricultural products and plant “data”, exchanging experiences, enhancing capacities, establishing centers for fish spawning, studying the adopted breeding systems and research carried out in this field.
Minister Qatana stressed the strength of Syrian-Russian relations and the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, putting agreements into practice, and benefiting from Russian experiences in the field of agricultural investment and modern technologies.
For his part, Groshkov pointed to the importance of continuous communication between the two sides to put forward ideas and visions and deliver them to the Russian side and expedite the activation and implementation of agreements to serve the interests of both countries.
