The Minister of Information meets with the Pakistani ambassador

On November 10th, Minister of Information Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq discussed with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahid Akhtar ways to enhance cooperation by developing existing memoranda of understanding between the two countries and setting executive programs for them.

The two sides also discussed exchanging press delegations to benefit from the two countries’ experiences in the media field.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Information building, Minister Al-Hallaq stressed the role of the media during the war on Syria in conveying information and facts about the terrorism it has been subjected to, confronting Western media and refuting misleading and fake information and news.

He referred to the restriction and blocking practiced by Western media and communication institutions on the Syrian content on the network and “Social Media”.

For his part, the Pakistani ambassador stressed the importance of exchanging visits to journalists, producing documentaries about the two countries, benefiting from Syrian drama and dubbing for Pakistani series, and introducing the peoples of the two countries to the culture of each other through drama and the possibility of implementing joint productions.
