Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry on the situation in northwest Syria

Damascus, (ST) – Syria condemned the statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry on the situation in northwestern Syria.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that Syria strongly condemns the statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry on the situation in northwest Syria. “This statement exudes a torrent of lies and slanders, and once again exposes the subversive role of the French government, its full partnership, and its support for terrorist groups in Syria”, the ministry added.

The source added that the French government should have condemned the recent escalation of terrorist groups in northwestern Syria, and its silence about the behavior of the Turkish regime, the main supporter of these groups is shameful.

The source stated that Syria reaffirms its continued pursuit of the remnants of terrorist groups until their complete elimination. It added that the positions of the French government and countries hostile to Syria will not discourage it from achieving this goal and strengthening the consolidation of security and stability in the country.
