Czech Moravian Party calls on Washington to lift its illegal blockade of Cuba

Prague (ST): The Moravian Czech Communist Party strongly condemned the continuation of the unjust US embargo on Cuba, stressing that the world stands against it, which was evident in the recent vote of the United Nations General Assembly, where 185 countries voted against its continuation.

The party added in a statement that this illegal blockade caused, during the period between August 2021 and February 2022, losses to Cuba worth $3.8 billion, which means 49% higher than the period between January and July of last year, due to its devastating effects on the tourism, exports and banking services sectors in this country.

The party expressed its strong protest against this inhuman and illegal blockade, which causes the Cuban people many hardships and severely limits the possibilities of its development, noting that despite all this, Cuba has remained an example for third world countries in the fields of education and health, and in its solidarity with other countries.

The party called on the United States to learn from the failure of its embargo on Cuba and demanded an immediate end to it.
