The Armenian humanitarian mission has completed demining activities in an area of more than 10 hectares in Al-Burj village in Aleppo southeastern countryside.
Member of the Executive Bureau at Aleppo Governorate Council Abdul Qader Dawalibi told SANA that the mission in cooperation with the Russian Coordination Center worked during the past period to provide assistance in removing the mines and other terrorism remnants from a number of areas liberated from terrorism by the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo.
“Today, the mission completes its work in Al-Burj area to secure it, facilitate the return of citizens to their houses in this village and help the state institutions work again there,” Dawalibi added.
On his part, Head of the Armenian mission Arkady Tonoyan said that the mission has also provided medical and humanitarian services to the locals, pointing out that more than 47,000 patients have benefitted from these services. He clarified that these activities indicate the strong brotherly relations between the peoples of Syria and Armenia.
