Ivanov: There is no winner in the game of destroying international relations

Moscow (ST): Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov said that it is illogical to impose restrictions and prevent Western residents from entering Russia as a reverse response to the ban on Russian entry to some countries, but Moscow’s response may be different.
Commenting on the ban imposed by Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Finland and the Czech Republic on the entry of Russian tourists into their territories, Ivanov said, “There are no winners in the game of destroying international relations, and the losers are always ordinary people regardless of their nationality.”
On the possible retaliatory measures from the Russian side against the countries that imposed a ban on the entry of Russian citizens, Ivanov said that “it is illogical to carry out any kind of counter-restrictions in relation to the persistent  attempts of the Baltic countries and neighboring countries that have joined them. Those affected are the ordinary citizens who will lose the opportunity to meet relatives, go for treatment, to study, or participate in scientific, cultural and sporting events.
