Al-Jaafari presents a copy of his credentials to Bogdanov

MOSCOW, Nov.1, (ST)-Syria’s Ambassador to Russia, Bashar Al-Jaafari, has affirmed that relations between Syria and Russia are distinguished, referring to the identical stances of the two countries.

Al-Jaafari’s remarks came while he was presenting a copy of his credentials as an Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic in Moscow to the Russian Special representative, Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov.

“Syria and Russia are very important countries from a geopolitical perspective and no one can defame these relations that were established since a long time,” Al-Jaafari said, indicating that President Bashar Al-Assad always calls for upgrading these relations, not only to the level of allies, but also to the level of brotherhood.

For his part, Bogdanov, described tge relations between the two countries as “historical and distinguished,” saying that President Putin appreciates stances of friendly Syrians, affirming his country’s support to Syria in all fields, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that Al-Jaafari and  Bogdanov discussed urgent issues to boost the friendly relations between Syria and Russia and Moscow’s contributions to the reconstruction process in the country.
