The Syrian and Pakistani Ministers of Education visit the Pakistani school and get acquainted with the educational reality there

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, and his Pakistani counterpart, Dr. Rana Tanweer Hussain, visited the Pakistan International School in Yafour in Damascus countryside today, to take a look at the educational and cultural reality there.

The visit included artistic and heritage performances, national songs, an introductory promo to the school, presentations on education and culture in both countries, honoring outstanding students and their parents and a number of outstanding school workers, in addition to a tour of the school’s children’s section and planting two olive trees in its garden.

In his speech, Minister Hussain stressed the importance of strengthening and developing relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the educational field, pointing to the keenness of the Pakistani Ministry of Education to follow up on the conditions of school students and to secure all their requirements and school supplies.

For his part, the Pakistani ambassador in Damascus, Shahid Akhtar, praised the existing relations between the two countries, and the efforts of the students that resulted in excellence in their academic assignments.

In the parents’ speech, Dr. Hani Al-Awa pointed out that the Pakistani school is not only concerned with academic education, but rather focuses on building the students’ personality before the scientific construction, as well as providing the latest scientific developments, and putting the students on the right line in building their future, calling on all students to follow up their studies towards excellence.
