Sayyed Nasrallah: The demarcation agreement is a great victory for Lebanon
On October 29th, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, affirmed that the agreement that was completed on the file of demarcating the Lebanese maritime borders with occupied Palestine is a great victory for Lebanon, the state, the people and the resistance, and it gave the Lebanese state full sovereignty over its territorial waters.
Sayyed Nasrallah said in a speech broadcast by Al-Manar TV: “ The steadfastness of the Lebanese negotiator and the seriousness of the resistance to go to a comprehensive war prompted the enemy entity to abandon its threats, and prompted the United States to stop its pressure as a prelude to reaching an agreement on the maritime borders as Lebanon wanted.”
Nasrallah pointed out that the Israeli occupation entity drew the line known as Line 1 starting from Naqoura thus taking a huge economic area.This area has now been re-acquired by Lebanon (which is a Lebanese right.)
He said that Lebanon obtained during the negotiations between Line 1 and Line 23 Lebanon , an area of 879 square kms.
He stressed:“We must trust Lebanon’s strength and its official and popular resistance position, which constitutes the guarantee.”
Nasrallah concluded that no one will be able to extract and sell oil and gas if Lebanon is prevented from extracting its oil and gas.”
