The Syrian film “A Room with a View,” directed by the young director Hamza Muhammad, won the Arab Mentor Award for the category of awareness advertising, at a ceremony held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The award ceremony, which was held by the Mentor International Foundation, which awarded the prize, comes within the framework of supporting the regional awareness initiative “Our Role We Present to Our Youth” with the aim of creating a space to encourage young people to be creative, by developing films and songs that reflect their hopes and aspirations, and express their feelings about the opportunities and challenges they face.

Hamza explained that he also wrote and produced the film, and it was shot in the countryside of Damascus with simple equipment,.He said that the message of the film can be summed up as “despite the great pain as a result of the war, it will create hope that lives inside us, and never dies.”
Hamza stressed that Syrian youth are creative in many areas of life, through determination, faith, and pursuit of every goal and idea since its inception, calling on young people to adhere to hope and dream and participate in their work in international festivals, no matter how small.
Hamza indicated that the movie “A Room with a View” participated in festivals in the United States of America, Britain, Russia, Bangladesh, Iraq and Lebanon, revealing that he is preparing for a new film entitled “Continue”.
It is noteworthy that the Mentor Arabia Prize is a competition presented by the Mentor International Foundation, an international non-governmental organization established in 1994, registered in Switzerland and headquartered in Sweden.
