Iranian President: We will not allow our enemies to stop the path of progress and development in Iran
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that Iran’s enemies are trying to obstruct the path of progress and development, but the Iranian people will not allow them to achieve this goal.
In a speech during the opening of five power plants in Zanjan province, Raisi said: “The aim behind provoking the riots is to put obstacles in the way of scientific progress, adding: “We are working to provide job opportunities in the country, while the enemy is seeking to steal this opportunity.”
Raisi noted that provoking violence in the country provides an opportunity for terrorist groups, as happened in the terrorist attack in the city of Shiraz that targeted innocent people yesterday.
Raisi stressed that work, production, scientific progress and other scientific, economic and cultural activities require ensuring security and stability in the country, calling on the Iranian people to be vigilant and cautious to confront the plots of enemies who seek to prevent the country’s progress and development.
In a related context, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, vowed in a speech today to respond to the terrorist attack in Shiraz. He said: “The anger of the Iranian people will teach the enemies a lesson for their shameful act.”
A terrorist from ISIS on Wednesday opened fire on citizens inside the shrine of Ahmed bin Musa al-Kadhim “Shahgraj” in the city of Shira, killing 15 people, including women and children, and wounding 27 people, while the security forces arrested the attacking terrorist.”.
