Lavrov: Western countries’ attempts to marginalize Russia are doomed to failure

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the attempts of America and the European countries in its orbit to isolate Russia and marginalize it from world politics are doomed to failure.

Russia Today website quoted Lavrov as saying today in a video speech to the plenary session of the All-Russian Peoples’ International Assembly at its twenty-fourth session: Today’s world is no longer centered on the West, but on the contrary has become multipolar, and it is impossible to reverse the course of history.

Lavrov added: The peoples of the world want to live according to the cultural and civilizational foundations that they inherited from their ancestors, and they reject the pseudo-liberal approaches imposed by Western elites, which encourage destructive behavior patterns, and thus cause irreparable damage to moral values.

Lavrov indicated that Russian diplomacy continues to work to ensure building communication between states based on the principles of international law, goodness and justice, a line that coincides with the line of the vast majority of the world’s countries, which represent more than 80 percent of the population.

In his turn, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, who chairs the Synod, warned in his speech to the plenary session against replacing the natural human figure with artificial intelligence, describing the ideology of “trans-humanism” as very dangerous.

Patriarch Kirill said: “Trans-humanism” is the ideology of radical change in human nature, which means achieving actual immortality and transferring human consciousness outside the boundaries of the human body to a different material platform, and this is a dangerous and unacceptable doctrine because it targets society, and pushes towards the systematic replacement of the natural human being with artificial intelligence.

It is noteworthy that the All-Russian Peoples’ International Assembly is a forum founded in 1993, and is a platform for meeting those interested in the present and future of Russia.

Representatives of all sectors of the Russian government, civil society and religious leaders of Russia, as well as representatives of Russian communities everywhere, participate in the meetings.
