“On the Silk Road” by Mosaic Band on the second day of the Music Culture Festival

In a language that is more eloquent than speech and tale, the Mosaic Band presented the artistic show “On the Silk Road” in an iconic and distinctive manner to narrate the traveler Aram’s journey on the Silk Road from China to Italy, within the second day of the Music Culture Festival.

During its lyrical evening, the band recounted, in music, the tale of ancient civilizations that were stations of the Silk Road, where the band members, led by artist Wasim Boutros and pianist Mario Boutros, presented various pieces of music from China, Asia, Iran, Arab, Greece and Italy amid a large audience of music lovers.

Pianist Boutros stated that music is part of culture and civilization and has been influenced throughout history by different civilizations, reflecting on the tunes and instruments of each civilization. “We in” On the Silk Road ” have chosen pieces that express the idea of a concert that is not only a concert but also a fiction concert that tells the story of Silk Road civilizations and we hope to present this show outside Syria”, he stressed, noting that the musical blending on this road is amazing.

Boutros said, “since 2012 the band has started with 50 musicians and singers. The band’s first concert was at the Cultural Center in Marmarita. The band has many participations in music and cultural festivals in various theatres in Syria as well as the Jazz Festival in Romania in 2017. It also represented Syria at the Festival of Embassies in Romania in 2019.”
