European tourist group visits archeological sites in the historical city of Bosra Al-Sham  

Tourists of different European nationalities on Saturday visited Bosra Al-Sham city in Daraa countryside to see the city’s archeological sites and historical monuments.

The tourists visited several archeological sites, including the theater, the citadel, Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, the Monastery of Bahira the Monk and “Birkat Al-Hajj” (pilgrimage’s reservoir), according to Director of the Tourism Information Center in Bosra Al-Sham Mohammad Al-Mikdad.

Al-Mikdad pointed out that the information center provides facilitations and information to tourists about Bosra Al-Sham and its ancient history.

On his part, Daraa Tourism Director Yaser Al-Saadi said the tourism directorate in Daraa encourages internal and external tourism and it continuously contacts the officials in charge of this sector to intensify tourist visits.

He pointed out that the city of Bosra Al-Sham is witnessing frequent visits by European tourists and this indicates the development of the tourism sector in Daraa.

On their part, the tourists expressed their happiness over visiting this historical city which has preserved its architectural identity.
