A Russian media delegation visits SANA and discusses ways of cooperation in the field of news exchange and training of cadres

Within the framework of the activities of the fifth Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up the international conference on the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons, a delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communication and the Russian media visited the Syrian Arab News Agency – SANA on October 19th.

The delegation was headed by Larina Ekaterina Gnyadievna, Director of the Department for the Development of Mass Communication and International Cooperation at the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, and Sakno Loyov Vladislavovna, Head of Media Relations for Africa and the Middle East at TASS news agency.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance media cooperation between SANA and the Russian media, and the possibility of opening new horizons for cooperation in the field of multimedia.

The two sides stressed the need to develop media relations in the field of news exchange, experiences, and training and qualification of media cadres.

The Russian delegation toured the agency’s departments, and reviewed the work mechanism in the main editorial hall, and the foreign language bulletins in which the agency broadcasts its news.

The delegation also included Spirido Nof  Anna Stasya Sergeevna, Advisor to the Department of International Cooperation with Foreign Countries in the Ministry of Digital Development and Moshenkova Anasta Syanmitrievna, producer of the Planning and Information Collection Department in the Directorate of Information Broadcasting in Arabic.
