Palestinian commission calls for putting pressure on Israeli occupation to stop depriving families of the prisoners from visiting their sons
OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Oct.19, (ST)- The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to immediately intervene and pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop the policy of depriving the families of the prisoners from visiting their sons.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the commission said that the occupation authorities have suspended visits to all prisoners since yesterday until the second of next month, noting that this procedure is based on punitive and retaliatory intentions of the prisoners and their families, as the occupation authorities exploit all circumstances to achieve this goal.
The Commission expressed its concern over these measures that increase the suffering of the prisoners and their families, calling on international institutions and organizations, particularly the ICRC, to put an end to the practices of the occupation, which constitute a clear violation of international and humanitarian law.
