Syria condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli killings of Palestinians and the practices of settlers in occupied Jerusalem
On October 17th, Syria condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli killings of the Palestinian people and the provocative practices carried out by the Zionist settlers on the Temple Mount, stressing that they are a crime condemned by international law.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that:
“The government of the Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the continuation of provocative practices carried out by the Zionist settlers on the Al-Haram Al-Sharif and Islamic cemeteries, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.”
The ministry added: “The provocations, brutal attacks and killings carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people and the desecration of Islamic sanctities in the city of Jerusalem constitute a crime condemned by international law, the Human Rights Bill and international humanitarian law.”
The ministry saluted the steadfastness of the heroic Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli aggression machine and their insistence on gaining their freedom and independence.
The ministry reiterated Syria’s support for the Palestinian people in their struggle and their right to freedom and independence and the establishment of their independent state on Palestine lands with Jerusalem as its capital.
