Under the patronage of Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces President Bashar al-Assad and on the occasion of the seventy-sixth anniversary of the Air Force and Air Defense Day, a celebration was held on the occasion of the the graduation of a new batch of students from the Air College in its three institutes (Air, Technical, and Naval) .
Lieutenant General Abdul-Kareem Ibrahim, the Army chief of Staff, attended the celebration as representative of President al-Assad .
The celebration began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of our martyrs, then the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic was played.
General Ibrahim delivered a speech in which he conveyed President al-Assad’s congratulations and wishes for the graduates’ success in all aspects of their future lives, especially the sacred national tasks that await them alongside their comrades in arms.
General Ibrahim stressed that the celebration that was held at Kwairs Airport is of great value and refers to the brilliance and symbolism of the place that was and will remain a witness to the sacrifices and heroisms of our brave soldiers.
The Director of the Air College also gave a speech in which he stressed the importance of the knowledge and experiences that the students acquired during the years they spent at the college.
The course was named after the hero martyr Captain Youssef Saleh Suleiman in appreciation of the martyrdom and in honor of the righteous martyrs.
After that, symbolic gifts were distributed to the graduates, then the first student presented the course shield to General Ibrahim.
The celebration concluded with the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic.
