TEHRAN, (ST) -The National Iranian Drilling Company signed with its Iraqi counterpart a cooperation agreement under which Iran will train Iraqi cadres and supervision of drilling of oil wells in Iraq.
The agreement between the two sides includes cooperation in the field of educational services and international certifications for Iraqi cadre of oil, according to the agency, ” Mahr “, the Iranian news agency.
The second phase of the agreement also includes cooperation in the areas of supervision of the drilling, directional drilling and installing pipes.
The Executive Director of the National Company for Drilling in Iran, Hamid Reda Kalpyaqany, pointed out the wide range of drilling operations from the north to the south that includes reservoirs of oil and gas in more than ten governorates, explaining that the scope of the vast operations of the National Company for Drilling has a major role in meeting the needs of Iran’s oil industry .
“Iran currently has the ability to provide services to all countries in the region , particularly Iraq in the field of drilling operations and technical services , engineering, and theoretical and practical training for the drilling of oil and gas wells,” he added.
The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of the Iranian National Drilling Company, Hamid Reda Kalpyaqany, and on the Iraqi side, Deputy Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company , Mohammed Ahmad al -Rubaie Btoh.
