Syrian, Russian naval forces conduct drills offshore Tartous port
TARTOUS, Oct.13, (ST)- The Syrian and Russian naval forces conducted on Thursday joint tactical drills offshore Tartous port, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The agency quoted a field source as saying: “The drills, which have been conducted on several phases, came within the framework of implementing the main steps of the practical measures to face attacks on the sea port.”
Over 400 soldiers from the Russian armed forces, who work in Syria and in the Black Sea navy and soldiers from the Syrian naval forces took part in the drills with the participation of 5 ships and Two Su-35 planes.
