Szijjarto: Sanctions on Russia negatively affected European peoples

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stressed that Western sanctions against Russia had a negative impact on European peoples.
Sputnik quoted Szijjarto as saying in a statement today: If peace is achieved between Russia and Ukraine, there will be no sanctions against Moscow, stressing that these sanctions were painful for the Hungarians, as well as for all the inhabitants of Europe.
Szijjarto stressed that “the only solution in the current situation is peace, because if there is peace, there will be no sanctions and suffering in Europe,” expressing his hope that “all those with political influence in the future will be able to focus their efforts on achieving peace instead of escalation, and accordingly if they are not willing to change course, we will face a much deeper problem than we are facing now.”
Western countries have imposed sanctions on Russia since the launch of the special military operation to protect Donbass on the 24th of last February until now, but the effects of these sanctions have been negatively reflected, and more severely on the countries that imposed them.
