Engineer Arnous inaugurates the Golden Mazzeh Hotel with a 5-star rating

Damascus (ST): The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, inaugurated  the Golden Mazzeh Hotel, with a 5-star rating, at an estimated cost of more than 36 billion Syrian pounds, on the Mazzeh Highway in Damascus. In a statement to the media, Engineer Arnous confirmed that the recovery of tourism represents an image of stability, and the return of security and safety to Syria, pointing out that the completion of projects is evidence of recovery, and that it is an opportunity to employ the workforce, stressing the government’s interest in supporting faltering projects in the tourism sector and other sectors.
Engineer Arnous added: The establishment of such 5-star hotels with a size of 111 rooms, 505 chairs and 224 beds after 12 years of war and siege on Syria is evidence that we are able, despite the siege, to work and manufacture with our own capabilities, pointing out that 80% of the furniture of this hotel was from Syrian products.
Engineer Arnous praised every productive hand that worked to build Syria, and the efforts of every person who trusted in it, invested, and cooperated with it from all public and private agencies, and accomplished projects that we are proud of among our people and the guests of our country.
In turn, the Minister of Tourism, Eng. Muhammad Rami Martini, confirmed that the arrival of tourists to Syria is constantly increasing, which achieves great activity in investments and the tourism market, indicating that this hotel contributes to meeting the increasing need for absorptive capacity in the governorate, with its equipment and the job opportunities it provides, noting that there are currently more than 28 stalled projects that have returned to work, and a cornerstone will be laid for a number of others.
