50 Palestinian prisoners continue the battle of hunger

50 Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike to reject the continuous crimes and violations of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners, amid warnings of the deterioration of the health status of some of them.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission confirmed in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that the 30 prisoners who started the strike 17 days ago, began to show signs of fatigue, severe exhaustion, weight loss, joint pain, severe emaciation and general weakness in the body, despite that, they are still insisting on their struggle against the Israeli jailer and the Israeli brutal measures against them.

The Commission drew attention to the frightening health deterioration of the prisoner, Kanaan Kanaan, from the town of Hizma in Jerusalem, as he is now in Ofer detention center and suffers from vomiting accompanied by blood, and a severe decrease in weight, while the prisoner Jihad Shreiteh also suffers from other serious health setbacks and body aches.

Yesterday, 20 Palestinian prisoners joined 30 fellow detainees in the battle of empty intestines, after 900 prisoners in Ofer detention camp last Thursday staged a one-day hunger strike in support of the striking prisoners.
