Russia adds META Company to the terrorist list

The Russian Federal Financial Supervisory Authority today included META company, which owns the social networks of Facebook and Instagram, on the terrorist list.

Sputnik news agency quoted the Authority as saying in a statement: The META platform has been included in the list of terrorists and extremists.

The Russian Federal Service for Monitoring Communications, Information Technology and Media decided last March to completely block the Facebook network in Russia, in response to META blocking of the Russian accounts of Sputnik and RT in Europe.
